TIIF 2026 Convenes Global and Local Investors in Dar es Salaam
From 1 to 3 June 2026, the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania hosted the second edition of the Tanzania Impact Investment Forum (TIIF 2026) in Dar es Salaam. The Forum brought together over 300 investors, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), development finance institutions, government representatives, and ecosystem partners from Tanzania and abroad.
Convened under the theme “Unlocking Growth Capital: Investing in High-Impact SMEs and Transformational Projects,” TIIF 2026 aimed at strengthening engagement between investment-ready enterprises and sources of capital, while advancing dialogue on the role of impact investment in promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Tanzania.
TIIF 2026 spanned three days, comprising two days of structured investment dialogue followed by a day of field visits to selected enterprises. The programme focused on four thematic areas: financing high-impact SMEs; mobilising blended finance for transformational projects; advancing climate-smart growth; and digital market systems as enablers of scale.
In partnership with Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A), thirty SMEs participated in pre-forum investment readiness training. Of these, fifteen were selected to present to curated investor panels across dedicated pitching sessions. A post-forum deal room further supported ongoing engagement between investors and enterprises beyond the event.
“TIIF 2026 reflects the continued growth of Tanzania’s impact investment ecosystem and the value of partnerships that connect investment-ready enterprises with opportunities for sustainable growth,” said H.E. Ambassador Nicole Providoli, Ambassador of Switzerland to Tanzania. “The Forum provides an important platform to deepen collaboration between investors, enterprises, and ecosystem partners in support of inclusive economic growth.”
The inaugural TIIF, held in 2025, convened 181 participants, including 61 investors - 25 of whom were international - over two days in Dar es Salaam. Post-event feedback indicated increased investor interest in Tanzania’s impact investment landscape, strengthened linkages between enterprises and financing partners, and enhanced collaboration among ecosystem stakeholders.
TIIF 2026 builds on the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania’s broader engagement in supporting impact investment through initiatives such as the Innovation for Social Change (ISC) programme, including the Daraja Impact Fund and the Impact-Linked Finance for Climate Change (ILF-CC) programme, as well as the Ifakara Innovation Hub and other complementary initiatives.
The Forum forms part of ongoing efforts to foster collaboration among public and private stakeholders, support enterprise readiness, and enhance connections between capital providers and sustainable development priorities.
Through TIIF 2026, Switzerland reaffirms its commitment to working in partnership with Tanzanian stakeholders and the international community to support sustainable economic growth, encourage innovation, and expand opportunities for high-impact enterprises across Tanzania.
